Florida Avenue Grill, Washington, D.C.

I had dessert about 10:30 last night when Robert came by after a Target run in Columbia Heights. He wanted to go to Florida Avenue Grill. So, we walked down the street and popped in, and the place was nearly deserted (they are open all night on Fridays and Saturdays). I had their coconut cake. It was good, but it was a little, tiny, tiny piece!

Robert had breakfast food with a tall stack of their big hotcakes and a platter with fried Virginia ham and some corned beef hash. I sampled a little bit of the corned beef hash.....I'm sure that for corned beef hash aficionados, it was fine, but I can never shake the feeling when I eat corned beef hash that it's made of dog food. I've had the ham there before—it's good—and Robert really liked his a lot.
