The evils of marketing

Sometimes I hate national franchise eateries.

This afternoon I went in to a Dunkin' Donuts with the idea of getting a little doughnut and an iced coffee. The problem? They have a special "combo" that is two doughnuts and a coffee/iced coffee that is actually cheaper than buying a single doughnut and an iced coffee separately.

So, I acquiesced to their caloric marketing insistence, and ate two doughnuts. Alas. How am I supposed to keep my 30" waistline if I'm eating all these doughnuts?

But, the good thing is that my iced coffee had a peel-off on the side of the cup and I won a free flatbread sandwich or personal pizza. That will make a nice lunch sometime soon.
